Taking inspiration from the 'worst album from a band you loved thread', does anyone have a band who they really loved on record, then the one time you finally got to see them live you never listened to them in the same way again?
The only one that comes to mind for me is Fear Before the March of Flames
Loved everything the band has done, then I saw them play with Heavy Heavy Low Low and The End and the vocalist came across like such an asshole that I never listened to them again for years

- Attack Attack! had a huge record, but their goodbye show at Groezrock was horrible. - Deez Nuts. Their music is fun, but that vocalist acts like a huge douchebag. - Dragonforce. Couldn't do live what they did on albums.

Discharge when Rat was singing for them. Haven't checked them out with the current guy. But fucking hell, the venue wasn't great either which didn't help, but it was awful.

Desolated - playing everything even slower to attract beatdown kids and singer sounds like he has asthma. Asking Alexandria (with Worsnop) - back in my emo dayz, was a huuuuge disappointment.

Lucero. Worst live band ever! Still love them but refuse to see them live. And I saw them a few times so it wasn't just like I saw one bad show.

I'd have to say I, the Breather. Saw them on tour with UABB back when they were touring Red, White, and Green and the lead singer was super fucking wasted which made his god preaching and overall stage presence sloppy and stupid. Funny enough the only cool dude was the drummer and he ended up leaving the band shortly after that tour had wrapped up. I feel like towards the end their christian edge kind of wore off.

We came as romans a few years ago, the clean singer spent all night with his back to the crowd, it was weird.
The last band I saw that I was really disappointed by was Pity Sex last year. Firstly, I dont know who provided them their gear but they were not loud enough, people were talking louder than them, couldnt hear the mix well at all (this is at the corner hotel in Melb, Aus, bands always sound great there.
Secondly, I didnt know Britty had left the band until they got on stage, massive disappointment.

Mastodon, mainly because of the vocals.

Mastodon, mainly because of the vocals. That has been the primary reason to me for not seeing them live at the festivals I went to. Heard some bad stories.

Death from Above 1979. It was the musical equivalent of this:
Honourable mention for Senses Fail. The vocalist spent half the time preaching about his rehabilitation and then accused all the men in the crowd of being rapists. Weak performance too.
There's been more but those are the two that spring to mind.

Definitely As Blood Runs Black! Allegiance was such a banger but then I saw them live and they were completely off. Worst performance I ever witnessed. Also pretty bad, never cared much for them, but enjoyed their music now and then:

I wouldnt say I was ever a fan but i disliked unearth even more after catching them open for KSE back in the day. I remember seeing there guitarist acting like he was king shit spitting out onto the crowd during their whole set. Fucking douche!

HORSE the Band...
They put on a rad show, but the members seemed so out of it. The vocalist stared at the crowd most of their set and his eyes were hollow.
