Wasn't thinking about getting a Switch with just Breath of the Wild and Mario to play, but Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is being released on it. I'll be able to move my save data over from my 3ds and play on a nice screen finally. Going to have to cop it this summer.

I want a switch but it would literally only be used to play Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey, so I will probably never get one That's nearly 100 hours worth of dumps to be entertained through!

I knoooow, and the fact that they are like the first videogame series I was introduced to on Nintendo as a kid makes me naturally somewhat emotionally invested in them ya know? Like I'm pretty sure playing as Link again as a grown man would put a great, big smile on my face.

I remember this happening a lot in Skyrim.

So, now that we've got a year of Switch action, do any of you guys who bought one have any regrets? I'm seriously considering to get one in the US before I take off for China since they don't sell them there. I mean, I could still get one there through Taobao, but whatever. I just hope I'm not gonna buy it and then never feel like playing it. And that battery life being so limited will ruin the experience somehow. And a part of me feels like I should wait another year and see if Nintendo releases an upgraded version or something.

I would definitely buy mine again, especially considering all the wonderful games they're bringing to the platform soon. The next Pokemon games in addition to the new Smash both coming out this year make it a total no-brainer for me. I hear you about the battery life, but I've only used it as a true on-the-go hand-held a couple of times. It's main strength is still in the couch play, but it serves its purpose any time I'm on a bus or flight.

I definitely think I'll be getting one in the next month or two, along with trading a bunch of my older stuff in. It's fun to hang on to valuable SNES, NES, Genesis, 64, GameCube, Dreamcast, and others, but when I get realistic about it, I'm likely to never go back and plug those in again. Lol, might as well get some money out of it. I'm coming for the Switch soon! Plus, I just really want to play Binding of Isaac anywhere. And Dark Souls Remastered, which I'm wondering about since I heard it would be on Switch but I haven't seen it yet. Only on the other consoles so far I've seen it.

My boyfriend bought me - well us, but he hardly ever plays himself - a neon joycon switch last year in May from his tax return money because I kept saying I was bored LOL
Did you guys see the Switch Lite that's coming out in yellow, turquoise and grey? Personally I think especially the yellow one looks sexy AF and I was thinking about preordering one but a) it's only gonna be around 50-100$ cheaper than a regular switch and b) it's kinda dumb you can't dock it - after all you won't be able to actually "SWITCH"?
If the price drops another 50$ and the battery lasts a bit longer than OG switch seeing as this will be purely handheld, I reckon I'll get one - the OG switch is too heavy in my hands at times and a smaller version for on the train etc would make sense - I never casually bring my switch anywhere atm because I feel it's to heavy and takes up too much space in my tiny bag.

Personally I don’t think the Switch Mini (Lite) seems like a worthwhile release. It removes one of the most important novelties of the Switch, in that it can’t be docked in addition to being a portable gaming device. It doesn’t seem like it is worthy of being called a Switch with that detail in my opinion. Maybe the Wii U 2 or something lol.
But I do like the better D-pad! Without also upgrading the left and right triggers to make them more sensitive instead of clicky, what are Nintendo thinking?! They blew it! (In my opinion) And yes, I liked the looks of the yellow one. Haha

Most people I know use it in handheld mode anyway so maybe thatstheir thinking.

I mean, it has been over 2 years and I still have mainly played my switch in handheld mode. But I may not be the majority in that. I rarely play it in general and I really don't understand why. The most game I spent time in still has to be Breath of the Wild. Hopefully some of the new releases coming out change that for me. Nintendo always has been my blindspot in gaming. I'm glad they're releasing the Switch Lite though, I think it'll help a lot of family's to afford the Switch and also solve the problem of multiple Switch's in the house. Especially for families that have one TV and multiple kids. This will allow the younger sibling to play on the couch portable while the older sibling hogs up the television.

I'll always be an advocate for the Switch in that it's great for indie games that don't require a lot of power, and the selection in the store is nice. Grab a couple of big titles bc those are great, then load up on games like Not A Hero and Ape Out for cheap.
