Always sad when I find a song or two from an artist I really dig only to explore it and find out that they're nothing more than an abandoned Facebook page from 2011 and some decent tracks on YouTube. Hit me with those bands that, at the very least, deserved to make it a little further than they did.

I wouldn't necessarily say this band deserved to get big, but they were a local treasure for years and will always be one of my favorite bands ever. After breaking up for years they played a reunion show last year that was incredible and it was amazing seeing so many familiar faces from a long dead local scene. They were as "big" as a local band could really be without getting famous. At the time I thought their latest release was really on point with where Deathcore was and they had a shot of blowing up.

Beheading of a King
the vocalist (Matt) commited suicide before the release of their first ep. the new vocalist that followed was'nt that bad, but was nothing compared to Matt. their ep ''Quasar: Preserving Legacy'' is fucking awsome. i really think they could have been big, they had the potential.

Dude I fucking loved Beheading of a King - didn't know about their original vocalists suicide. That's got to be a huge blow to a band to lose a member to something like that. Good answer, gonna be jamming this all day now.

I just looked up Creeper and now I'm uncomfortable. I liked the first OTDH song that comes up on YouTube though - not just the faster pace, but also how it sounded a little more heartfelt. Can't quite put my thumb on it.

Creeper tho, it does have some interesting themes and content, it just is marketed towards young teens, they really blew up though, so i am happy for them. Just doesn't have the same spirit.

I always thought that Harp & Lyre should've blown up to the same level as TDWP did... I guess there were too many bands with an UO vibe.

I also liked a little Easycore a while back. I thought these guys had massive potential and then they split up...

I remember back when I was a lurker on here and they got posted, I was like holy shit those guys got skillllllz. They were my gateway to Djenty stuff. Not digging it anymore, but they deserved way more recognition.
