Alright, who's watched The Tiger King? WHAT THE FUCK lol
I hate animal cruelty, and the Idea of tigers being used just holds me back watching this. So..is there any animal cruelty visible here? If so, it's a certain skip

That would depend on what you define as animal abuse, there's plenty of shots of animals in small cages, and cubs being taken away from their mothers. Animal abuse is eluded to and talked about a lot though, think about it through the eyes of the animal owners, they knew when this is being filmed that if any footage of Tigers being beat or whipped got out during this they would be in hot water.
What makes this show unique is when they actually did the filming a whole new storyline emerged and every side of the story was trying to use Netflix to prove their point. Without trying to give away too much, that story might not have even reached it's full conclusion, so a second season or some follow up work isn't out of the cards.
The coolest thing about it to me was some of the footage Netflix got, a lot of cell phone and security camera footage they just gave to Netflix, a lot of it is literal evidence.

Finished La Casa De Papel part 4. What a shit show that was. Story is all over the place. A lot of flaws (with names, backstory etc). Just end this show already lol.

Yeah and in my case, I literally forgot that this even had anything to do with the cats. It very quickly becomes about the people and has like 5% to do with the animals. I don't think you'll have a hard time watching it at all.
Yes I define the small cages etc as animal abuse. My wife def. will be upset about this. We both are the kind of people that stop to help a Caterpillar cross the road.
I still think there is no need to use tigers in a serie. I even hated that scene in Narcos where there bring it over at a party.
I understand that there is a whole lot of storie behind this and that it might put the bigger audience to thinking.
I already know that elephant riding, donkeyriding, crocodilepetting is always involved with abuse of the animal. So good that Netflix tries to show this, but as I'm already aware still gonna skip this one.
I couldn’t get into this at all, what do you make of it?
Honestly it's pretty crap but it's like, comfort viewing? It's always the same jokes and pretty formulaic comedy set pieces, but something about it just makes me feel good when I watch it. Jim does genuinely make me laugh because he's such a ridiculous character.

Still thanks for your answer
So just to be clear, Tiger King is a documentary - they're filming these real life people in America who own wildlife parks with big cats. While they don't provide any over the top commentary (that I can recall), I thought it was implied through the way the story is told that none of these people should be allowed to keep these animals.
There's some scenes that might trigger you if you're easily shocked by the mistreatment of animals, but overall I think this show does a good job at exposing the exotic pet trade for what it is.

Ahh haha I get you. Can't beat a good comedy sitcom for comfort food. We've watched The Inbetweeners and Peep Show so many times now. Jim is my least favourite character pretty much in any show I can remember though

I'm with you on the last part. Good for you man! I'm still interested to see the show though, I've seen it mentioned on vegan sites and apparently the actual animal abuse shown is minimal.

That's fair enough. Like the rest of the show, I think he's something you have to choose to buy into.
Interesting you mentioned Peep Show - it's a brilliant show but I find it excruciating to watch. The internal monologues hit a little too close to home for me haha.

Oh, yes, I never would have watched it if there was true exploitative abuse. Honestly it's not much, or nothing that you don't already know. It's just a show that goes so off the rails so quickly that you can't help but click "next episode" immediately after. I liked it for what it was, but it wasn't edited well at all and major things are spoiled right away that limited by enjoyment later.

My other comfort show is The Mighty Boosh
My god yes, Peep Show can be an incredibly difficult watch haha. I’ve never actually seen The Mighty Boosh, will give it a go sometime.
