MY Wife and I watched the first episode. She loves the book and Neil Gaiman but I knew nothing about it. I ended up kind of liking the first episode but she really didnt care for it.

I know very little of Gaiman's work (what I've heard was all good though), but even without any knowledge, this show is so intriguing. Dark, interesting characters and awesome shots - that hammer scene was so weirdly amazing.
Looking forward to the story for sure.

My wife watched this...she said it was interesting but really weird and really confusing. I'd probably want to read the books over watching the show anyway...love Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

Finally watched the pilot last night. You can definitely see the influence from the Hannibal showrunner with the score/dream sequences and the director David Slade (30 Days of Night) with how bloody and gory some of the sequences are, especially the viking one at the start. I know some people have complained that it's not very clear what the premise is after ep 1 although you wouldn't expect to read the first chapter of a book and understand the entire story so I'm happy to be patient with it and see what it offers up. Highlights so far are Ian McShane (As always) and the "leprachaun" (Pablo Schreiber from The Wire) Quote of the ep: "She died with my husband's cock in her mouth" - rough way to go

Very interested in seeing how this show goes, but fuck its strange. I know Hannibal had some really strange beautiful shots, but most of them made sense. Alot of this is just cutting back and forth between the strangest shit. Like is anything going to come out of that ship burning scene?

This looks pretty interesting. I have to figure out how I'm going to watch it though. Might just have to buy starz.
