Sometimes I wonder why I've woken up at 5AM on a Sunday (but then again, I fell asleep Saturday afternoon; working 4-1 will do that to you), but then I see IFC is playing the original Planet of the Apes, one of my favorite sci-fi films of all time, and then I realize all is at least halfway right with the world... Always enjoyed this more:

Gonna punch my film dance card tomorrow and go catch a double feature of the latest Rambo entry (I'm a glutton for punishment) and Good Boys. Only thing that sucks is for tomorrow only there's a showing of The Shining in 4K @ 7PM, but because the Packers game will be on at 7:20 I'm gonna watch that instead.

Seeing Joker in two days. I'm kinda excited about it. Jared Leto's impression still haunts me so I'm skeptical.

The win at the Venice Film Festival just changed everything though. The first night it's open here is Thursday, so i'll be there at 8pm.

Think I’ll pull another double feature tomorrow and see Joker and Ad Astra; not terribly keen on the latter tho because I’ve heard from friends and fam that it’s long and boring, but there’s nothing else interesting to see atm.

I have all of them scattered across VHS, DVD and Blu-ray, but thanks for thinking of me with Godzilla; I was actually wondering if TCM will be using the Criterion prints for their showings. But no, I was thinking more in line with the Denzel Washington focus for the month and the myriad horror films showing throughout the month; gonna fill in a lot of cinematic holes.

TBH I didn't even watch the video, I just saw the Godzilla freeze frame on top. But I am all about Denzel, for sure. Guess what? I'm recording and watching Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 because I have seen Army of Darkness and it's great. I know those first two are more horror-ish so hopefully I can survive them.

But that's fun and hilarious! Am i to assume these movies... are not?

No, just you ≠ horror. Dunno your track record with horror comedies.

Forgot how much I loved Swordfish, such a fun representation of a era. Not one of the best movies ever but it will always have a place on my shelf.
