Oh what, You live in WA? They got another brewery here in Melbourne from my knowledge. I actually remember thinking the colonial sour tasted different than how it usually does in Melbs when I bought a 6pack in Perth. Haha And I haven't tried their Kölsch, but I do like the porter and obviously the sour, even better when you get them on tap instead of tinnies Yeah WA here 👍 I pretty much stick to the Kolsch and small ale when I'm down there. I have tried the sour but wasn't my thing. You in Melbourne? Can you recommend any good brewery's to visit, I'm over there in August... Ohhh yes I can. If u ever have a dull day whilst here, hit me up as I'll still be here in August Hop Nation in Footscray is good (Jedi Juice IPA is a must!) Tallboy and Moose make some good sours (like the cranberry or blueberry zing tangs) and have an awesome location in I think Abbotsford but just google it Two Birds is also really good and located in Spotswood, so nearby Hopnation, only a couple of train stops in between. It's owned by women and I like their Passion Victim Ipa! They also support a lot of tattoo flash days for charity events in the city. Love em Stomping Ground in Collingwood make awesome beers too and Collingwood itself is beautiful, lots of Street Art My boyfriend works in a basement craft beer bar with lots of beers on tap and dozens of cans. Also has a DJ deck that plays a lot of mellow beats, hip hop, punk and jazz/funk. And there's a couple of Arcade machines such as Street Fighter. I don't wanna post the name and address publicly here but if you wanna come by I'm sure we can manage to get you a discounted pint and a free shot

I'm going to look all those places up when I get home from work. Your boyfriend's work sounds like a chilled place to spend a few hours so I'll hit you up for the name of that too. Over for a week for so be able to find some time to check a few of these places out!!

Oh man, brewery visits are one of the biggest things missing in my new Chinese life. I didn’t visit that many, but the good ones I liked, I went to them all the time back before I moved to China last year. Arizona Wilderness Brewing is still my favorite brewery of all time, and while I would love to catch their stuff being distributed, it’s awesome that they really just keep it completely local. They’re just something special. Stone opened up here last year, and I’ve marveled about that on here before, but I don’t go much because it’s sooooooo overpriced, and not a full brewery experience.
Talk about a cool, full brewery experience, I took the Boulevard Brewing tour in Kansas City, and that was badass. It was so informational, gave lots of free beer, was only $5, and their facility tour was just incredible. Their equipment was so hi-tech and their facility was so large. Very impressive.

Nothing better than sitting in a beer garden in summer, drinking a few beers.

Their Kujo Coffee Porter and Mint Chocolate Stout are worth the try as well. Otherwise, that Green Bay-Seattle game was a freaking good game though.

Damn, I miss craft beer exploration. Since moving to China, I have quickly lost that side of me. Crazy to think that before I came here, I was even preparing for a beer license exam with a friend who brews. But then life changes. I must go to Stone in Shanghai next week though. Been too long. I nearly forgot the fine taste of a Stone IPA.

Corvus - Have you had that Bourbon County Stout yet dude? How was it? Those bad boys cost about $35 a bottle over here in the UK.

Corvus - Have you had that Bourbon County Stout yet dude? How was it? Those bad boys cost about $35 a bottle over here in the UK. Had it tonight actually! Made a steak dinner and treated myself to some dark chocolate and the beer afterward - heavenly evening. I probably wouldn't buy it for myself at the price, but it made for a lovely gift. Still feeling it hours later - took me about 1h to get through. I gave the last couple sips to my roommate who claimed to love the stout part but hate the bourbon part, whatever that means...

I get what he means. I'm not a whiskey fan so any Barrel Aged beers that have a whiskey-tasting finish don't sit well with me either.
