I especially love how it was reported in newspapers now that it's gone viral... (this is from Metro, a free newspaper that's given out at train stations)

I posted that image mainly because I found it hilarious that they had to star out the entire rant because it couldn't be published but yeah, it's pretty cool that it was published so widely! I also saw it on the BBC website, The Guardian and the Independent (although The Independent site is so clickbaity nowadays ever since they stopped publishing a print copy)

One of the biggest German magazine also covered it online. Sam and the dudes in Architects are just a bunch of quality guys. And come on, what kind of sad fuck are you to intentionally grab at a girls boobs/private parts.

[...] what kind of sad fuck are you to intentionally grab at a girls boobs/private parts. Sam Carter should talk to Trump about his pussy grabbing.

I've seen frontmen call out this kind of disgusting and disrespectful behaviour numerous times. But there were two differences.
- Immediately called out the guy to be thrown out. No "I know who you are, you should leave" bullshit - No camera rolling (i'm sorry but how convenient)
This shit happens at every show, it's our duty to put an end to it, not the bands.

I've gotta agree with you there, it did seem kind of like virtue-signalling (I do hate that phrase but it's the best way to describe it) because all it did was show how good he is without making any real impact on the dude who did it apart from making him feel a bit sheepish. I think it would have been better if he'd quietly had a word with security and had the guy removed, banned, and possibly criminal proceedings if they were warranted. This way, he didn't help in any concrete way to make the scene a safer place, because I'm not really buying the theory that abusers won't do it if they know that the bands they like are against groping. Of course, he may have done that many times before and I wouldn't know about it, so who am I to criticize

I am seriously baffled when you guys are legitimately saying it's only for spotlight. Sure, he could've: 1) Told security and risk throwing out the wrong guy ("oh yeah the semi naked one with long hair") 2) Call him out, get him beaten up and then be charged by inciting violence
He gave a general statement that this shit is not welcome at any shows, and I think he did well.

Damn I had no idea this was a serious problem. Will definitely be looking out for it next time I am at a show!
