I'm working with a HTC m9 (stock) with Magisk and Xposed. I couldn't live without Adaway, YouTube background playback, unrestricted tethering, and ad-free playback while casting.
Nougat be damned, I'm on MM until all of the exploits get opened up on newer phones (and Android OSs).

HTC one M8 Android 6.0 / HTC Sense 7.0. I know it's time to update but this is my first phone that still works after three years.

How is Linage? I've been thinking about playing around with other ROMs but stock Sense is pretty solid and I'm scared of change...!

Get the added benefit of a lean install and with the gapps aroma installer you get to pick exactly what you do and don't want in your phone. I run Nova launcher with it also but no need really.

Honestly I was flashing all the different little bits of my phone manually and then aroma snuck up on me.

Samsung Galaxy S7. Whatever the current OS is for it. I don't use my phone enough to jailbreak/root it.

just picked up the T-mobile Rvvl to try something new.
my first android since the galaxy s3 came out. been running iphone after iphone since.
picture quality is okay and it runs nougat 7.0 which i guess is bad or gonna be bad soon. you cant update it past that for some reason. probably because its a "budget phone". i kinda like it though but i still miss the user friendly(imo) iphone.

I guess I'm an advocate because I have the old school data plan and need root to have tether. But some people root just so they can have Tasker send alarms and stuff at pre-programmed times or use YouTube background playback (as an alternative to spotify). You have to manually flash ROM and firmware, which sounds like a pain, but it creates a sense of ownership regarding your device.

Google Pixel, Android 8.0. I'd consider jailbreaking an Iphone but Android offers enough customization for my needs.
