Slept on all the H8000 Metalcore bands because of the term "Metalcore". I only used to know this now called "modern metal" style and hated it so it took me like forever to check the 90s style out.

I've been looking for stuff from these bands for so long. I feel like a lot of them don't get the recognition that they deserve.

The Beatles Biggest one must be Have Heart. Everyone of my friends was hugely into them, but I never liked them. It took me a couple of years and now I can smack myself in the head for never taking any chance to see them live. I recently just started listening to Have Heart. when I saw them play with Verse years ago I was kinda just "eh" about it. hah but now I kinda love them. I was probably being edgy because I liked wolf whistle more. also the Beatles I constantly sleep on. idk what it is about them but I have no drive to want to listen to it. I feel like if I did id absolutely love it. its probably all the constant hype they have around them and people telling me that they're the best band ever. or maybe I've heard too many of those popular songs in stores and movies that it makes me hate them. I have no clue. should I keep sleeping?!? I do however listen to one song by them (Anna [go to him]) but its only because I think it sounds nothing like the Beatles.

Queensway for me. The demo didn't catch my attention and I just listened to swift minds. Better late than never!

Vision of Disorder
My roommate has been trying to get me into this band for years and I kept forgetting their name and/or just didn't get around to listening to them...
This Album is amazing

Queensway for me. The demo didn't catch my attention and I just listened to swift minds. Better late than never! Very underrated band IMO. They do have a good base following but I feel like a lot more people could appreciate them. I saw them open for Cold World and almost no one was there to watch them play which kinda sucked.

This Album is amazing I didn't listen to them until they came up on a playlist on spotify for me. It was the premade "Classic Hardcore" playlist and if you ever get a chance I highly recommend it

Earth Crisis’ Total War?

The Contortionist, or at least their last two albums. I was really turned off by Intrinsic because it seemed like it had a major identity crisis and I skipped Language entirely. I listened to Clairvoyant a while after it came out and it ended up being one of my favorites of 2017. Went back and listened to Language and really dug that, too. My Ticket Home. Originally wrote them off as generic Risecore (which I guess they were), but Strangers Only is a complete banger and I really enjoy unReal. Slipknot. I listened to Vol. 3 in middle school like any edgelord at the time, but then stopped listening to them because they're not "real metal." Eventually stopped giving a fuck about what internet neckbeards think qualifies as metal or not and am a big fan of the self-titled and Iowa. Gray Chapter was a bit of a miss, but there are some good tracks like The Negative One. My Ticket Home is actually amazing. I discovered them when there were much a smaller generic Metalcore band and were also touring with Attack Attack at the time. I really did like their older stuff despite it being Risecore but when they progressed their sound and then evolved into what they are now, it honestly blew me away. I love Strangers Only, had it on repeat for a good while.

Earth Crisis’ Total War? I think the funniest choice is Counterparts being on there. Nothing against the band, but are they considered classic now? Hmmmmm
