Having just argued it out with a friend about whether Low Teens is a good record for ETID or not, and the fact that I'll be seeing them at Slam Dunk in a couple of weeks, I thought it'd be a good idea to chat about the highs and lows of Every Time I Die. Share away.
EDIT: This is a stupidly hard poll for me personally. Hot Damn was always my absolute hands-down favourite until From Parts Unknown came out and now it's totally messed up my top choice.

This was hard. The nostalgia feeling is strong, so i wanted to pick their first EP (which you didn't put on here i noticed...) or their first couple full-lengths really bad, because those are albums that helped get me into loud music.
But Gutter Phenomenon was just so good, and like the best blend of what i knew they were capable of. It's probably my favorite, just barely edging out Hot Damn!

Love the first 2 records, like the change in Big Dirty, Ex Lives is really solid, From Parts Unknown is a near masterpiece and then Low Teens is the Jekyll and Hyde record for me, both the best and worst of ETID in one outing.

Gutter Phenomenon for me just because that's the release I first heard. I remember being absolutely blown away by Kill The Music. Hard choice to make tho, they're the kinda band that's continually released good and different records.

Ahhhhhhh. I am not even sure where to begin with this. ETID is probably my favorite band of all time, my first hardcore show ever and have seen them 15 times over the last 13 years. In my eyes they can do no wrong. Their first two albums I tend to group together (LNIT / HD!). Personally, very nostalgic but not their best work at all if I am being honest. The next two (Gutter P / The Big Dirty) were really a coming out party for the band and you could tell they had something that other bands didnt, good solid song writing over 4 albums. New Junk / Ex Lives were fucking wild from start to finish. New Junk had some hits but failed to deliver throughout. Ex Lives was unique as it has two of my favorite songs from the band (Bimbos / Indian giver), but still had the same feel as New Junk, just not a complete album. With that being said I still love both records From Parts Unknown is probably my least listened to ETID album, not sure why. I was very busy the year it came out. Getting married, having a kid, working towards my masters, working, etc etc so it got pushed to the side as I didnt listen to much music at all that year. Judging by what stuartoxlade said I am really fucking up and need to give it the full listen it deserves. Low Teens is just fucking beautiful. Map Change might be the most emotional song the band has ever written. They went out on a limb and tried some new stuff and absolutely crushed it. With all that said I still have no idea what to vote for. At a complete loss. Vote for their best album or my favorite album or my most nostalgic?

I think the reason I dig From parts unknown so much is the result of 2 elements; Kurt ballou's huge production and the onslaught of a double pedal throughout the record
Really love that track called Idiot. It's just relentless from start to finish

There really is no argument needed, it’s New Junk Aesthetic. From top to bottom every single song is good. That hasn’t been repeated on any album since.

I narrowed it down between Gutter or Low Teens and after listening to both I had to go with Low Teens.

You guys are giving me the chills about this band. Never gave them a proper chance, but will do asap.

Only 12 votes though is a little weak. That's all the fans this band has here?
