And justice for all. Nothing else comes close.

I went through a Metallica phase as a teenager but could never listen to them seriously now. It just feels too cheesy.

And justice for all. Nothing else comes close. It's almost like you could say that, well, nothing else matters.

Going with Ride The Lightning, because Creeping Death is the best Metallica song ever.

Ride the Lightning but you can't go wrong with KEA or MOP. The production on Justice is just so terrible it's hard to even listen to that album most days. It's rather unfortunate, really, because Dyers Eve is a great track.

I went back and listened to all the Metallica records over the past week.
I'm keeping my answer, but the gap between Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning is razor thin.
Also, stupidly, i kept listening to the more recent albums, and shockingly i've started to like St Anger. Really! There are some kickass loud songs on there.

Lol, I also liked some stuff from St. Anger. It didn't click with me for a while, but since I spent so much money on it, I listened to it a lot trying to get into it and I finally did somehow.

That snare drum tho... Drums as a whole sounded pretty terrible to my memory. But some songs were decent if you can overlook it.

And that was one time too many from what I can remember. I bought this record when I was a teenager. Back then, I didn't have an iPod (not sure if had come out yet actually now that I think about it) and would play all CDs with my heavy stereo CD player. I'd buy a cd and put it in and play video games with the sound off and just listen to the albums I bought over and over. I probably looped St. Anger a good 20 or 30 times, as I did with pretty much all CDs I got back in those days. I also found that I enjoyed each CD more then than I do now. Probably because nowadays I get a new album and tend to hear it once and then move on to something else that's new and repeat. To get into St. Anger, one needs multiple listens for sure. It's a very rough first listen...
