Just intrigued to see everyone's favourites so far this year. I'm based in the UK so stuff like Three Billboards got a release in 2018 and will count, just for argument's sake. I feel like i can't use the same list as you though, because half of what you listed very clearly was released in the U.S. in 2017. (Even a few i listed also had brief theatrical runs or at least festival debuts in 2017 too.)

I forgot about Annihilation. That was awesome. I'm sure it'll be the best science fiction film of the year though.

Aside from #1, I've not heard of any of these EDIT: Just checked IMDB and none of these are out here for a while. First Reformed is next week (I won't get sight of that in my town so will have to wait for a DL), The Rider is out 21st Sept, American Animals on 7th Sept, and Foxtrot and Won't You Be... don't even have release dates. |

I am always about 6 months late on movies but I have seen a couple good ones luckily.
No order really...
A Quiet Place (God damn this was good)
Ready Player One (For once I wasnt disappointed with the film adaptation)
Annihilation (Expected more, but still enjoyed it)
The 2nd half of 2018 is when all the heavy hitters are coming out.

Updated this thread to put together your best of lists for the entire year. I've still got a few I want to see (Roma, Blindspotting, Burning, Shoplifters) before the year is out to see if they make the list.

Updated this thread to put together your best of lists for the entire year.
