Haha! Arkansas is a Southern state Yeah, identifying the midwestern states used to be tough for me, but I find it’s a bit easier than finding Rhode Island and those other small ones in the Northeast. Then again, I kinda like looking at country and world maps. I must admit though, I still switch Illinois and Indiana way too often. Nice to see you online again! Good luck with new home hunting! It can definitely be tough when you’ve got the school loans thing going on. I switch Vermont and New Hampshire a lot. Thanks man. life has been crazy and home hunting is pretty fun. My credit score went from "bad" to "average" since making payments on my school loans haha Spelling Bee champion here, 1998! Bring it on! I was Spelling Bee champion in 1999 !! I must have taken your mantle I had so much pride in spelling skills back then. I remember having a 3rd grade teacher who gave us a practice spelling test on Mondays of the same words we would actually test on Fridays at the end of the week. Anyone who made a 100% on the practice test got to pick a bonus points word to add. I had a friend who added “antidisestablishmentarianism” and I was the only one who spelled that one right on Friday’s test. That was cool! It’s actually just a really easy word to spell though, so I really didn’t have much reason to feel like a badass, but I did! Lol Oh cool! Glad the credit score is going up! I have no idea what mine is doing. Since moving to China last July, I haven’t used a credit card or paid off any bills or anything that is lined to my credit. Hope I’m not tanking for not having any credit activity, but it might not matter too much for me anymore, not sure though.

I remember trying to get the teacher to have more difficult words In 4th grade but she said that the other kids would not be into it. I can’t even remember the words I suggested but they were simple ones but hard for that age. I can’t believe I waited til I was 30 to fix my credit. Shit sucks when you’re trying to be super adult. Does China have there own sort of “credit” there. I’m as oblivious to any sort of monetary system outside of the US as I am knowing where Delaware is on a map. Hah

Hah Sometimes not knowing things doesn’t matter. Credit kinda does matter, but you can get it back up pretty fast if you pull together all your resources. As to China, I asked my wife that same question back when I got here a year ago. She told me that the credit system here is pretty much the same. She even said something that seemed to suggest that my credit over there carried over to China, but I don’t have too much confidence in that train of thought. I’m nearly living off the books here in China as it is, and this year completely off the books in the US. This is the weirdest setup...hahaha

For anyone with a teaching certificate and an interest to go abroad, I can’t recommend highly enough teaching in an international school abroad. The school provides me an apartment, handles my bills, and free lunches of course. I only have to feed myself for dinner and teach. Pretty good gig for people who just want to save up some money or in general if you just want to do something different.

I just had the most incredibly bizarre dream, had to share it! Well, it could have been more bizarre, but it’s really awkward and funny.
Had a dream that I had a church gig at some church I’d never played in before. I got my violin, drove to the church, and it was a nice stage space. Beautiful interior. And as I got to what was supposed to be the rehearsal, I was the second person to arrive. The pastor was just leaving the sanctuary, and he greeted me and gave me a warm welcome (just as many others have done for me in real life when I’m hired, so nothing new here). Then when I sit down, I look to my right and the drummer is this really old dude, and I wanted to say hi, but I couldn’t because he was busy jamming the fuck out on the gig music. He was blast-beating and hyperspeed skank besting like nobody’s business! And all the sudden it was like I realized that the gig was that we were the hired band playing a bunch of songs by that legendary anti-Christian death metal band, Deicide. Although I freaking love Deicide (well, the first few albums at least), and this drummer in the dream was badass, it just felt so incredibly wrong to be rehearsing Deicide songs in a church. Hahaha!
The dream never advanced to the full rehearsal moment. It kinda ended with me finally talking to this drummer, who had a bag of nuts he was eating, from which he showed me one he warned shouldn’t be eaten because it was a cashew and two almonds conjoined lol. The dream ended when shortly after I learned that my car had been towed, which was upsetting because I was playing in a church out of state, in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma. Hahaha
Crazy dream. Lol

Anyone remember that dude on the old forums that had some form of disability but was a band tour driver in Europe?? I think he even came to the states once to drive some bands around.
