Matt Adamson - Kings ave. I wanted to to a piece by Perj but long island is too far i guess Oh sweet, when I was there I got tattooed off Bart Bingham at Adorned. I also wanted to get tattooed off of civ but also found it too much of a travel. The main issue is the goddamn price. It'll be probably the most expensive piece (size ratio etc) i'll do.

Hi all ! So i'm going to NYC for a week this summer and was wondering if there's nice bars, venues, shops, etc that are easily missable if you're a stupid tourist wearing birkenstocks with socks and you dont' know the little treasures of the city. I'm talking about record stores, amazing pizza, sneaker stores (let's talk seriously), etc. Thanks a lot ! I'm a bouncer at ps450/noble on weekdnds. It's an upscale lounge/bar in Manhattan. If you're looking for hc punk records check out GenerationRecords also in Manhattan.

NYC is a magical city to me. I went to Rucker Park at Harlem just to sit down and watch some guys play some streetball. I was feeling amazed like a little kid. Went to NYHC tattoos to get me one, but it honestly was kind of a let down. The dude working there had me struck a little into pushing the small tattoo I wanted to make it a whole lot bigger. My wife went to a vegan tattoo place somewhere else (forgot the address...) which was a really great place to hang and everybody was super friendly.
There's also a breakfast eatery at Brooklyn which we went to for like four times (no regrets) and went to a Knicks game.
This probably won't help you any further, but your thread had me dreaming again... Sorry.

Where and who are you getting tattooed by? Matt Adamson - Kings ave. I wanted to to a piece by Perj but long island is too far i guess Dude, if you wanted to get tattooed by Perj it's easily accessible from NYC. It's a 45-50 minute train ride on the LIRR for a total cost of $20 round trip (plus maybe $10 for the taxi to the shop) to the town that the shop he works in is located. awesome bars you want to visit: Rudy's (you get a free hotdog with every drink you buy). Barcade (2 locations in manhattan, 1 in brooklyn) or 2 Bit Retro Arcade (both are bars that have retro arcade games) Duffs is a heavy metal bar. Crocodile Lounge (free pizza voucher with every drink bought) Sunshine Laundromat and Bar in brooklyn (front part is a legit laundromat establishment and you walk through to the back and theres a huge bar with like 20+ pinball machines) Iggy's Keltic Lounge is probably is essentially a punk bar. there's this dive bar i love in the middle of times square called Jimmy's Corner. It's owned by some famed boxing coach and its fool of boxing memorabilia and is probably the only dive bar in that area of NYC cool touristy spots: The Highline (old above ground subway line that was converted to a park/walk path through parts of the city) there's a tattoo museum at the Daredevil Tattoo shop in nyc. museum of natural history is pretty rad. Central Park/Central Park Zoo. "Top of the Rock" is a cool observation deck where you can see a whole bunch of crazy sights. Statue of Liberty is a gimme. the shops around St Marks Place (lower east side) Coney Island in brooklyn is fun imo, a bit dated but it's definitely cool to walk around the boardwalk/the beach. theres also an aquarium there. pizza- man, this is a tough one because there are fucking pizza spots everywhere you look. like someone said, pizza suprema is really damn good and right near penn station. i really like this place Called Rocky's Pizzeria. a lot of people like to hit up Artichoke Basille's Pizza. basically, as long as you dont go near any pizza spot that's not a $1 spot, you wont be disappointed. hope this puts you in the right direction for somethings to do. feel free to PM with any other questions or anything. been living in the NY/Long Island area all 27 years of my life

you definitely wouldn't want to go anywhere around the parts of Brooklyn where I used to live for a while so I'm probably not much help. Al
But I would day if possible take a trip down to Brighton Beach right next to Coney Island, it's little Russia. A lot of great little cafes and shops with some great food. It was one of my favorite places.
