I've never listened to a full Sabbath album before, so I'm going to make that happen sometime in the next month or so.

I've never listened to a full Sabbath album before, so I'm going to make that happen sometime in the next month or so. Awesome! I highly recommend two albums to get a decent taste of the band. Any of the first three albums (first album if you like history and want to really experience where it all got started, with the first track likely the only reason they got labeled metal, doom metal at that), and then a non Ozzy album, like Heaven and Hell. And to get the full experience, listening along with the lyrics. There are some songs that just have great lyrics. The first song on the first album really paints quite a picture. I love the lyrics on Heaven and Hell. Just throwing out suggestions.

I was practicing violin earlier, Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, blah blah. Got bored after an hour (Tchaikovsky might be great, but musicians commonly feel his music is diarrhea, as I also feel), and I started playing riffs and bass lines from Black Sabbath’s early albums. I got inspired again. I have an iPad Pro to work with. I really think it would be fun to make some violin covers using multiple tracking of my violin playing and nothing else. But with just an iPad Pro to work with, not sure how worthwhile it would be, or how good the quality can be. Gotta think about this.

Shit lads I put myself in a mood unintentionally tonight. I went through my itunes library and went to follow all the bands on Spotify (I usually switch between the two depending on circumstances, but it's mostly Spotify these days because it's easier to track the new stuff.)
It's funny to see what's on there and what never made the cut. Some stuff I went to add but found missing:
Voyage by In Fear and Faith Masochist by Elysia Conviction by The Crimson Armada Self Titled EP by At The Skylines The Concept of Dreaming by Volumes
Feels actually kinda sad to know these records aren't where I can easily find them anymore - besides the files I have saved (and now consequentially backed up) it feels like YouTube is the last flickering candle for some of this stuff. Maybe I'm just an old fart shaking a stick at the wind, but it legit kinda bums me out.

Candy is so underrated in the Hardcore scene, they're a lot more groundbreaking than Code Orange imo

For some reason, these two songs really run together for me. I'll start singing one in my head, and it morphs into the other song.
Does that ever happen to you? Listen...

Doing another discography run now, Radiohead this time.
I really liked this band when I was about 15 after listening to OK Computer, but to me every album after that got worse so I gave up after about six or seven years. I've got all their records so far, the deep-cut extended editions with everything they've ever done, and I'm listening now.
Pablo Honey is not very impressive. It has "Creep" and almost nothing else I liked a lot. We'll see what The Bends is like next, and my first listen to OK Computer in maybe 10 years. There was a point when I would have told people "Paranoid Android" was one of my favorite all-time songs, so let's see how I feel after half my life passing.
