Don’t feel like starting a Witcher 3 thread just for this, but maybe our resident Witcher 3 fan tucker , or any of you familiar can answer this question. Those notice boards, sometimes I read the notices and can visibly find new markers like question marks placed on my map. At other times, it just seems like meaningless notices that don’t put anything on the map, like this recurring notice looking to borrow a new plough in White Orchard. While these few notices seem potentially meaningless, I can’t help but consider that I’m missing something. Every time I return to White Orchard there are 6 notices that show again but never update my map or give me secondary quests to track. Am I truly missing something? Am I supposed to guess where those people/quests begin and then get to start it? Or is it just empty notices for no reason? Empty notices just to make the world seem more real. Stop going back to white orchard it sucks lmfao. The only thing worth going there for again is to kill the cows a couple times and fight that one monster that protects them but don't do that until you are a high level. It is only a real quest if the marker is yellow on the notice boards, otherwise you can pretty much ignore them. If you get something that tells you to read it always do that, but otherwise it doesn't matter. The question marks are usually something very fun but some of them are super difficult and you should avoid for a while, but it's definitely worth clearing out everything. I was starting to assume most of what you said to be true, nice to have confirmation of that. And yeah dude, White Orchard and I are officially done. Yesterday I found an armorer finally in Velen so I don’t have to go back to WO anymore. Takes a while to find certain merchants and stuff when getting to a new area, it seems. I even didn’t find a blacksmith in WO until after I had left for Velen. Didn’t realize you can go to a new community and still not uncover a blacksmith/armorer/merchant marker if you don’t walk around carefully enough and talk to everyone. I missed the one in the Nilfgardian outpost in WO. Finally made a Witcher gear silver sword. Game is so good!

I usually don't worry too much about crafting til I can start doing those, cause it's so much better than armor/swords that aren't. Until then all I care about it relic weapons with lots of room for mods

I am wrapping up the Bloody Baron questline, and I have to agree with you tucker. That’s a great one. I haven’t done any quests I hated yet, although the first long one with Keira where she tries to get you to the other side of that gap in the cave to catch up with the Wild Hunt which lead to a lot of spelunking in a dark dungeon was not a particularly fun quest in my opinion. The Bloody Baron though, that’s a really great character! Believable performance, and strangely likable once meeting him, that’s also a major highlight for me in Witcher 3 so far. I’ve done a lot of side quests keeping me from really doing this one, but yeah, great stuff!

Although I’ve put down Super Smash Brothers Ultimate a good month or two ago, I found another reason to be disappointed with it today when it was announced that the final character to be added through DLC would be Byleth of the Fire Emblem series. Nothing against the character, but the fact is that there are already plenty of Fire Emblem characters with similar move sets, almost nothing more than a re-skin of the first Fire Emblem character in some cases. This, in my opinion, is absolute laziness on Nintendo’s part. There are other characters in the game that are too similar to be worth the increase in quantity in my opinion as well. Also, Dr. Mario shouldn’t receive a whole new character slot. It should be a selection from Mario’s slot, with a costume change.
Laziness, and faith in a quantity over quality formula really leads me to believe that this final installment is my least favorite of the series. I still adore the first one on 64, as well as Melee and Brawl. But I quickly fell out of love with Ultimate.

I've been thinking about getting a PS4 but since the PS5 is coming out this year and I'm already saving up money for that I'm still doubting to do it or wait for the 5. Or just try and find a cheap second hand PS4 for now since buying a new one for over € 250 feels like throwing away my money.

PS5 will be backward compatible, so I'd just see that out.

Now I just looked it up again and it seems that they say it will be compatible with "almost all" games, as the architecture is based on the PS4 one. In that case it seems like a no brainer to wait for PS5. Or if you feel like playing PS4, just hop over to Warsaw and we can game

Bottom line is that portable gaming is much more ideal for me now, and the Switch has been excellent for me. However, I read an article that Sony had considered getting back into the portable gaming arena. If they do, and give the Switch a nice amount of competition, I definitely see myself getting the new Sony portable product. I have a PS Vita, and loved the system, just disappointed by lack of support and library for it.

I just finished the Hearts of Stone DLC for the Witcher 3. That was an incredible added quest line. The characters were so well fleshed out, voice acting was great, and I really didn’t want it to end. Somehow, it ended very quickly for me. Not gonna lie, that riddle at the end was kinda hard to try to figure out, and I ended up just searching online for the way through it, but yeah, this is great stuff. I love how the guy, O’Dimm appears right at the beginning of the game, and he of all people was a character they developed as DLC. He was super intriguing. In many ways, one of the most engaging characters in the game by a mile.
I suppose there may be a leftover secondary quest or something, as I have about four or five question marks from this dlc to uncover, but yeah, the questing is done. Now I just need to decide if I’m gonna finish off the main story or go hop into the other DLC package, which I understand is lengthier than Hearts of Stone.

DOOM ETERNAL WAS FUCKING SICK. BEAT IT WITHIN 15 HOURS BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT ESPECIALLY ON ULTRA VIOLENCE.
ALSO HALF LIFE ALYX IS ONE OF THE BEST VR GAMES TO DATE. SOOOOOOOO GOOD!

I didn’t think anything could ruin the Witcher 3 experience, especially something as basic as the setting of the quests, but wow, the second DLC, Blood and Wine, really isn’t my bag. I mean, I’ll finish it, it’s all I have left of the game to complete, but wow I hate all the people in the setting. I guess I’m just not into tales of French Rule, chivalry, wineries, and all other things of the sort. I hope there is a chance within the storyline to betray the queen and her people because I hate them all.
However, all in all, it’s still the greatest game I’ve played in a really long time. Excellent stuff.

Thinking about trying a Final Fantasy game on my Switch here soon, does anyone have any suggestions on a good place to start? I keep trying to like open world RPG's and I just never do (except Skyrim and WoW). I'm hoping a more linear game like FF might be more up my alley.
