I've been contracted to write 4 deathcore songs for a vocalist, and since I'm actually being paid I might as well keep up to date on everyone's favorite deathcore bands.
So, hit me with any bands that you think I should be listening to.
The vocalist has also suggested it have both techy and slam elements to it, so throw some of that in for good measure.
Some records I really like from the genre for reference. Fit For An Autopsy's latest record is definitely in my top 5 all time, along with stuff like This Is Exile from Whitechapel. I also dig other old-school stuff like With Blood Comes Cleansing or And Hell Followed With. Golgotha and Proprioception were my jam!

These are the only deathcore albums that still really matter to me:
Despised Icon - The Ills of Modern Man Dr. Acula - Silver Lipped Operator of Bullshit Elysia - Masochist Job for a Cowboy - Doom See You Next Tuesday - Parasite Suicide Silence - The Cleansing Whitechapel - The Somatic Defilement
All well known classics, now I think of it. I feel like that scene is really worn out. Though AngelMaker is a pretty good newer band.

And I know they're a joke band, but Infant Annihilator is hot as fuck.

That recent Martyr Defiled is actually some really interesting Deathcore, I'd also say check out the recent Lorna Shore record too.

I love that Glitch literally gave me just about the best Deathcore Classics list that could have ever been. Only thing I might have added would be like Underneath The Gun's first record.

I've had this entire album on repeat since it dropped. I've been meaning to check this out, their stage outfits would normally be kind of a turn off but something about the way they present themselves makes it intriguing.
