It is become a task in order to find a decent modern horror film. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Horror has become a lost art. I am not really sure you will find much. How recent are we talking?

Cabin in the woods was in the last 5 years or so. Great film.
Apparently Get Out was great.
Why does it have to be recent? Theres probablys 100s of modern horror films from the past 30 years that you havent seen.

The Witch The Blackcoat's Daughter Green Room (already mentioned but I recommend it. Not much of a horror film but definitely a slasher/thriller) Ouija: Origin of Evil The Autopsy of Jane Doe The Neon Demon (kinda spooky?) The Wailing (on Netflix, but make time for it because it's a long film) The Invitation Housebound The House of the Devil It Follows

I highly recommend The Void to anybody who likes Lovecraftian cosmic horror.

It Follows is the best horror I've seen in the last 5 years or so. Few others to take note of:
Hush Get Out The Wailing Goodnight Mommy Don't Breathe Creep Green Room

it comes at night was a real yawner That's disappointing to here. People said it was a real slow burner that didn't answer the question as to 'what' comes at night. I'm a huge fan of A24 so I'll probably wait until it makes its way to Amazon Prime.

This is more of a thriller than a horror movie, but my friend Nick Holland (And Hell Followed With/Sunlight's Bane) directed "Wronged", it looks extremely promising. I have a VHS copy of his previous film "Hunger Unholy" which is one of my favorite indie horror films.
