So, while driving to work today, a guy had a Scion with University of Kentucky Wildcats and New York Yankees stickers on his bumper. This is pretty much the worst person in the world, right? Are you basing that solely off of the Yankees, or what?

I’m in the Little Rock Airport, ready to begin my journey back to Shanghai. Staying in the Phoenix area for the evening time for a chance for one last round of great beers from Arizona Wilderness Brewing, my longtime favorite brewery. Also, my very best real life friends are all there, so this will be a nice release for me after getting very stir crazy in Arkansas.
This trip was very eye-opening. Nothing about nationality ties or anything like that, but this trip especially showed me that China is the current place I belong. There were just too many things about being back here that reminded me that I have found something that better suits my current needs, and as cool as that sounds to have found something I really like...it also makes me sad that my hometown now makes me feel so low. But again, I love my home country. There is so much to do in the US, and Internet is fairly unrestricted, which is a current breath of fresh air to me after a year in China. I guess the most important element of my new life is that China challenges me, daily. And I love that. I need that to avoid stagnancy in my life.
Anyway, I’ll return again this summer. Hopefully I won’t be more bummed out next summer. Lol, I gained 7 pounds here in 3 weeks. That’s enough to be bummed about. Hahaha

Lol Ever heard of it before? Many Americans don’t even know Arkansas is a state. The ones that do quite often can’t find it on a map.

To be fair Americans aren't exactly renowned for their intelligence. Wasn't Arkansas formed before Kansas? At least that is what some guy who was from there told me one night when I was out in Edinburgh.

There are several talented and intelligent individuals there, but yeah, I wouldn’t say that Americans as a whole are a very intelligent group. Just listen to their reasons for why they vote for who they vote for, and you’ll know who did their homework and who just likes the color red or blue. And you are correct. Arkansas entered statehood as the 25th state, and Kansas entered statehood almost 25 years later. Crazy that you found yourself talking to an Arkansan in Edinburgh one night. It seems like most Arkansans will never leave Arkansas...haha

speaking of dogs in the chatbox and having this totally random thought...
I really love seeing animals and pets out in the world but I would honestly rather not own them. I wish I did not have to live with them.

Haha! Arkansas is a Southern state Yeah, identifying the midwestern states used to be tough for me, but I find it’s a bit easier than finding Rhode Island and those other small ones in the Northeast. Then again, I kinda like looking at country and world maps. I must admit though, I still switch Illinois and Indiana way too often. Nice to see you online again! Good luck with new home hunting! It can definitely be tough when you’ve got the school loans thing going on.
