I really disliked this album when it first came out but slowly grew on me as time went on. To the point where I prefer this one over Masochist. was gonna be my next post, great record though

This album disappointed me so much when it came out. I was a massive IDT fan at the time... IDT is an absolute favorite of that era of metalcore, and this album actually grew on me. Vastly superior to Lividity. Yeah, IDT was my favourite metalcore band at that time too. I loved Forever Scorned and The Caitiff Choir. Some about Sirens didn't hit the spot with me. It felt a little flat. I agree it totally trumps Lividity.

i have come around a bit on this throughout the years, but man was i bummed when it first came out I loved the first two records from FBTMOF. I remember when The Always Open Mouth came out, it kinda disappointed me. After some time and my tastes maturing musically, I came to love that album and this one. They both offer a different side to Fear Before which is cool to hear. It's a little avant-garde and experimental.

I don't HATE this record, but it's this band's schtick played out to the fullest extent, and it's tiresome. And they've been pushing it for two years. I'm ready for something else from them. Some old, but mostly new. Damnnnnn I love this release!

Sometimes when I wanna get into a band's softer or more mainstream records, I'll create a playlist with the good, older heavy stuff as well as the new album and I'll listen to it on shuffle. I find that for some reason, it really helps as long as there aren't any drastic member changes. In Hearts Wake is a great example of a band that it actually worked on. Thought everything after Divination was "pussy shit" (lol) but once I mixed those more reserved songs in with the heavy ones, I really began to see their place within the band's sound.

I'm surprised that nobody posted this, even if this thread is only 3 hours old. I'm just not a big Linkin Park fan. This was a really really bad record.... I'm going to say: I still really like terror, only this records sucks bigtime...

I know there's folks who haven't liked them since Hell Chose Me but this is their worst by far and its not even bad listen. Just underwhelming.

this would have made a great korn album but definitely makes for a bad V.O.D. album
