Having read a great article today on Heavy Blog is Heavy about Born of Osiris (http://www.heavyblogisheavy.com/2017/06/01/the-rise-and-fall-and-rise-of-born-of-osiris/), I thought I'd get some shoutouts to listen to for this period of time in metal that I totally missed known as Sumeriancore.
The albums they've called out in the article to listen to are:
Born of Osiris - The Discovery The Faceless - Akeldama Veil of Maya - The Common Man’s Collapse After the Burial - Rareform
Any others worth a bash?

Is Sumerian Records still a thing? Apparently so. Chon's new record is out via Sumerian soon

I highly recommend Veil of Maya and After the Burial, although I prefer the more chaotic sound of both their debut albums.

You guys remember The HAARP Machine? All their promo stuff made it seem like they were the supposed to be the next big thing, then the album kept getting pushed back. And then when it finally came out, 2 years after the hype, it fell flat.

You missed out this very underrated GEM (they were also on Sumerian when this was released in 2009)

They released a new album last year as well, isn't as aggro as this one, more progressive in nature though, lots of synth and melody

The one's you posted are all very good...I LOVE The Discovery by Born of Osiris, one of my fav albums. Veil of Maya's 2nd album [id] was also really good and fit into the Sumeriancore sound.
And Circle of Contempt was a lot of fun, the album posted above was awesome!
And don't forget about Conducting from the Grave. They have since disbanded but When Legends Become Dust and Revenants were both good albums.

Ignore the awful mixing of this record. It was still awesome.

Structures fucking ruled. Ignore the awful mixing of this record. It was still awesome. I'm still so fuckin bummed about how they went down. The hype at the time with the Vol/tures project eventually died down and the following album was a big letdown for me. And then the breakup

Yeah add in Structures, their best work still for me is the very first EP though.
