We've had a similar growth in the UK, albeit much faster than in China. Going back to 2014 when I first signed up for Untappd (Amazing beer rating app if you don't have it), there were a fair few breweries in the UK but getting hold of their beers was hard as they couldn't produce enough beer to keep up with demand but nowadays, there's tons of breweries locally who are doing great beer and it's accessible. Hopefully the same thing will happen in China for you dude. I can see that. Not a lot of stuff from the UK here yet, but Brewdog is in many grocery stores and restaurants, even here in Kunshan. And their Punk IPA is a pleasant one, just not a very challenging IPA. Brewdog ales are also pretty damn expensive here most of the time. Best to go to World of Beer at happy hour because Punk is on tap in the happy hour section. I guess I’m healthier now that I’m not surrounded by outstanding breweries like I was in Arizona last year, but craft beer used to be an obsession. Now I experience many days in a row in which I live as if I have forgotten the glory a cloudy, citrusy, bitter, IPA. Lol Haha it's a hard life being surrounded by great beer BrewDog are probably the biggest breakout success from the UK, they're everywhere. They're so big that I barely drink it now. They've kinda broken out of what makes craft beer great in the first place.

Waiting for that personal review of the Rogue Double Chocolate Stout, tao. Not my style of beer, but I’d still be an eager beaver to try it! I haven’t had a beer in over a month. Sad times. My health check revealed I have high uric acid, and the most notable cause of this problem is “excessive alcohol intake.” Well, I’d never consider my beer drinking excessive, especially since the lack of availability of great brews is real here. Back in July I was hitting up my favorite brewery twice a week, and I’d have three pints each trip. That was the most excessive I’ve ever been a drinker. Now I don’t think drinking is what got me here, but now I have to avoid for a while and see if it improves. I’ll take another blood test in a week or two to see if my number has lowered. If it is low enough, I may have to celebrate at Stone Brewery in Shanghai. Haha

Sorry to hear that dude. Hope it isn't a longterm problem.

For quite a long time now, most days it is impossible for me to fully straighten my left arm, as there is a bent-arm stopping place that I can’t often straighten beyond. I’ve had more days where I’d wake up and be able to straighten my arm since I had my last beer over a month ago. Not sure it’s related, but it’s possible. Definitely under less pain with that arm as a result.

Okay, so that double chocolate stout was pretty good and you can really taste the chocolate right in that sweet spot where it’s just the right coldness, but not “cold”, you know? I’m being totally serious when I say that I do need another bottle to try and therefore solidify my thoughts on it. It’s not Samuel Smith-levels of quality, but it wasn’t bad at all.

Melbourne turned me into a tattooed craft beer obsessed hipster cunt... All the ipa's are my boyfriends though, I don't drink that bitter shit. If I wanna be unhappy I just dwell in my past, no need to pour what tastes like literal poison down my throat. Feel free to zoom in to see some very pretty can designs .. And the tube of honey I use for my green tea. Lol.

I actually remember thinking the colonial sour tasted different than how it usually does in Melbs when I bought a 6pack in Perth. Haha And I haven't tried their Kölsch, but I do like the porter and obviously the sour, even better when you get them on tap instead of tinnies

I have tried the sour but wasn't my thing. You in Melbourne? Can you recommend any good brewery's to visit, I'm over there in August...
