12-56, Ibanez RG w/ passive EMG's. Sounds terrible through it but my ESP with Active EMG's in D sounds great. I think 12-56 is decent for this tuning. It might be an EQ problem then. Maybe your low end is eating away some of your mids which would make your sound a bit muddier..? I don't know much about EQ, sorry man. All good man, I'm sure if I do some youtubing I'll hit a sweet spot. Just a shame that I can't get a good tone out of dropped tunings with it because the plug in (to me) is pretty great. Makes me want to buy his other sims.

Used to play drums. Have been out of the game for many a year now. If I was going to get back into it I would look at a Mapex MyDentity setup.

Bit late to this thread but I just bought a new Les Paul a few weeks ago. Changed the pickups for Seymour Duncan 59s and swapped out the machine heads for Grovers. Will post some pics when I take some.
Btw if anyone wants to geek out then I'm totally up for that.
