This is such interesting news: h/t LambgoatCurious to see where the new album lands in time. Could it be number one? Lol, that’s nuts! People are REALLY eager to hear the whole new album I guess. Maybe Aenima is the album I should be listening to, not the new one. Every time a new season of Bojack comes out, I always revisit previous seasons to prepare. Maybe that’s why Aenima was so recently popular again? People just getting in the Tool mood again maybe.

I don’t much care for deathcore. Okay, I generally dislike it these days, and haven’t liked it since maybe 2012 or so. But that new Shadow of Intent album, which I almost didn’t check out at all for knowing they are a deathcore band, is pretty great. Hard to find anything I don’t like on what I’ve heard of it. I can say there are things I’d like to have been done differently, but it’s pretty solid! I’ll be listening to it more than once, I feel.
Cool, a deathcore album I liked in 2019! Haha

Man, I still love that band as much as when I started listening to hardcore. One of my entry bands (together with Hoods, Knuckledust and Hatebreed). Eddie Leeway in So Close to Defeat is golden!

Tough as nails but still with that old school feel.

Just found out today that the bands Power Trip and Leprous are working on new albums, respectively. Can’t wait to hear new tunes from them both.

Fell in love with so called "panic chords" due the metalcore revival of 2014-present. Starting to get sick of them rn because they dominate every song and breakdown of current metalcore/metallic hardcore bands...

As of the last import of music to my files (yes i'm still about a year behind), i finally officially passed 1000 hours of "metal" music. I think i have about 2400 hours total, so, i dunno, i guess that's a lot.

I hate when I start listening to a new album and find that the listening experience is soft, requiring me to turn up the volume to levels I normally don’t reach. This has happened for me with a few releases lately, most recently the new Superstition record, which is a badass record. But it plays so softly. Annoying.
