Maybe... But I have a feeling I missed so much album that I love. August Burns Red - Messengers Counterparts - The Current Will Carry Us Ef - Mourning Golden Morning Have Mercy - A Place Of Our Own Parkway Drive - Horizons Korn - Take a Look in the Mirror Slipknot - IOWA Suffocate For Fuck Sake – Blazing Fires And Helicopters On The Frontpage Of The Newspaper. There's A War Going On And I'm Marching In Heavy Boots The Devil Wears Prada - Plagues The Dillinger Escape Plan - Ire Works This Will Destroy You - This Will Destroy You Definitely agree with August Burns Red & Dillinger Escape Plan. I love how Suffokate's vocalist Ricky went on to become a barber as well ha ha

they are by far one of the best. Bolt thrower is up there too. Bolt Thrower? Now we're talking. Weird claim to fame for my family but my uncle was the founding vocalist for Bolt Thrower in Coventry, UK in the 80's. He left when he had my cousin and is now in a rockabilly band ha ha

No plans to get back to it? How does he feel about Bolt Thrower now?

Yeah he left the genre altogether and started different cover bands doing rockabilly and pop ha ha. I think he regrets leaving a little bit but he had my cousin and wouldn't have swapped her for the world.

So hard to come up with one. But these albums never get old me to and I've been listening to each since they came out, besides Colony. Not in any order.
Arch Enemy - Doomsday Machine All Shall Perish - The Price of Existence Dark Tranquility - Damage Done In Flames - Colony Solution. 45 - For Aeon's Past Scar Symmetry - Pitch Black Progress Protest The Hero - Fortress The Faceless - Akeldama After the Burial - Rareform Be'lakor - Stone's Reach

In no order, this is how I’m feeling at the moment. Also while only allowing one album per band. Very difficult in the case of Slayer...
Dance Gavin Dance- Mothership Thursday- War All the Time Possessed- Seven Churches Gruesome- Savage Land Overkill- Taking Over Alexisonfire- Watch Out! 3 Inches of Blood- Advance and Vanquish Slayer- Reign in Blood OR Show No Mercy (can’t pick...tie!) Morbid Angel- Altars of Madness Infernal Majesty- None Shall Defy

Holy crap that's a tall order. Off the top of my head (no particular order): Every Time I Die - Hot Damn! Misery Signals - Of Malice and the Magnum Heart He Is Legend - Heavy Fruit Counterparts - Tragedy Will Find Us Poison the Well - You Come Before You Converge - All We Love We Leave Behind Between The Buried and Me - Colors La Dispute - Rooms of the House City and Colour - Bring Me Your Love Mastodon - Blood Mountain I get that it’s probably got a specific reason to be in your top ten, but ‘Heavy Fruit’ is by far my least favourite He Is Legend album. It Hates You and even the recent Few are just overall better written records imo. I’d love to hear the reasoning you have for making that choice?

I remember the first time I heard Monochromatic Stains. Shit bangs so hard to this day. I remember rocking that album and Soilworks ‘The Chainheart Machine’ all summer one year.

I remember the day I bought Damage Done. I was convinced Dark Tranquility would be a solid buy back then because they were big in the Gothenburg melodeath scene at the time. I loved In Flames back then, as well as Omnium Gatherum, Soilwork on occasion, and a few others. Either my interest in that style faded very quickly or I’d have to say Damage Done was a very boring album to me, but it really did nothing for me. Probably just had my fill of melodeath at that point to be honest. I liked their sound though.

I kind of lost interest in both DT and Soilwork after that summer, I also was a bit bored and played out on melodic dm. I think I came back around in the past few years though and enjoyed the recent Insomnium, Soilwork, DT, records albeit not as ravenously as before. I don’t think anyone could touch Insomnium’s ‘Winter Gate’ though for sheer songwriting alone.

I found it to be incredibly refreshing for a melodeath record, especially with how crushingly heavy it sounds at times. Also they’re just a top-notch band anyway.

Always loved The Crown though, great riffs. Yeah man, let me know what you think after you listen to it. I find melodeath boring in most cases and this album is absolutely the opposite of what bores me in most melodeath. It has some punk/thrash energy in some songs, and overall heavier tendencies than the usual, in my opinion.
